The most important benefit in becoming a member of OBBC is our support network. Members learn from each other's experience and knowledge. The help and advice from other members can be like a lighthouse beacon for what may sometimes seem to be an overwhelming project.
There are monthly meetings which consist of special presentations along with a business portion.
The special presentations may be technical seminars given by marine industry experts, product specific seminars given by manufacturers or distributors, "meet-the-author" nights for authors of boating related books or travelogues by other members. The business portion of the meeting consists of providing status updates of current bulk orders, question and answer periods where members can call on the expertise of their fellow boat builders to help them with a problem, and discussion of any other pertinent business matters of the Co-op.
Our monthly meetings are open to both members and non-members alike. Drop in, have a seat and see if we are what you are looking for.
A monthly newsletter provides information on upcoming meetings, purchasing activities, classified ads and letters from members who are voyaging in their completed projects.
